Decided to demolish the house of Thiers

La Commune de Paris. Thursday, May 11. It is of today's date that the Commune of Paris has decided to demolish the house of Thiers, the head of the government of Versailles, in retaliation for the bombing of Paris. The silverware will be seized. All linen from Thiers' house will be made available to the ambulances of the Commune. The numerous works of art and valuable books will be sent to national libraries and museums. Once the house is demolished, the Commune plans to build a public square on the land occupied by the building.
